Event: The South Carolina USATF Masters Championship/Open meet is a late afternoon/early evening meet open to al ladults. This event is not limited to residents of South Carolina. The meet is hosted by the Myrtle Beach Track and Field Club and will be electronically timed.
age groups:
- Masters competition
- five year age categories beginning at age30
- Open
Location:
Myrtle Beach is recognized as the nations #1 family beach. The City is home to more than 60,000 affordable hotel rooms (2/3rds ocean front view), nearly 500 restaurants, golf courses, amusements, shopping, shows & 9.5 miles of the most beautiful stretch of beach you'll find anywhere. | Entries:
$15 for the first event, $10 per event after that. $25/relay team. The meet is limited to the first 1,000 athletes.

100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3000, 100/110 hurdles, 400 hurdles, hammer, discus, shot, javelin, HJ, TJ, PV, 4x100, 4x400
Venue:
Doug Shaw Stadium is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, approximately 1/2 mile from the ocean. The Stadium was completely renovated in 2008 to include a new state of the art track and field facility, & large digital scoreboard with integrated video display. Doug Shaw seats ~5,000 spectators, & has on-site restroom/concessions. |
Accommodations:
Myrtle Beach hotel rooms are geared to serve families, & often include multiple bedrooms, bath rooms, & kitchen facilities. The hotels have amenities you normally see in business hotels (e.g. restaurants, bars, exercise rooms), but also often include family based amenities like lazy rivers, water parks, & game rooms.
