All 2013 and 2014 Club Members are asked to wear their uniforms and be in the Team Photo since we were not able to get one taken last year.

Also, all previous year USATF National Qualifiers, All-Americans and National Champions are asked to bring their plaques and medals for an Individual Photo Shoot.

The photos will be used on a New Club All-Americans Page we will be  adding to our website. They can also be purchased from Rancier Photography along with the Team Group Photo.

MBTFC Athletes place at local Beach Run Invitational

Several MBTFC athletes participated and performed well at the Beach Run Invitational held on April 4th and 5th at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The event is one of the largest state track meets bringing in the best from South Carolina. Raven Grant finished 1 and 2 in the 200 and 100 meter run respectively. Other top finishers included the 5th place 4x800 meters Socastee Girls team Jill Dudley, Rebekah Booth, Crystal Shimer, and Kayleigh Adorno. Others performing well was Kayla Watkins and Anna Walker placing 4th and 5th in the Girls High Jump. Kayla as an 8th grader also followed that up with a 6th place in the Long Jump. Well Done!

MBTFC High Jumpers to Compete in USATF National Youth Indoor Championships

2013 Cross Country Registration Available

Registration for the 2013 USA Track and Field Youth Cross Country (XC) season begins Tuesday, September 17, 2013 and will be open until October 11th 2013.  Boys and girls ages 6 – 18 years old are eligible to compete race distance of 2k, 3k, 4k & 5k.  All athletes must be registered members of USA Track and Field and the Myrtle Beach Track Club in order to compete in USATF Jr. Olympics XC competitions.

Raven Grant Meets IAAF World Youth Trials Qualifying Standard

MBTC's Raven Grant met "IAAF World Youth Trials Qualifying Standard in the 200m with a time of 24.59 seconds (Qualifying Standard Time: 24.64 seconds) on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the 2013 South Carolina Junior Olympic Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina! Congratulations Raven! This is a great accomplishment, and we are proud of you!

Three MBTFC Atheletes Recieve All American Honors

Julian Dent, Anna Walker, and Shelbi Ankiewicz received All American honors at the 2013 USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina during the week of July 22 - 28, 2013. Julian Dent placed in the 9 - 10 Boys Javelin Throw. Anna Walker placed second in the 11 - 12 Girls High Jump. Shelbi Ankiewicz placed fifth in the 11 - 12 Girls High Jump. This is a great accomplishment, and we are proud of these athletes.

Former MBTFC Athlete Qwontajah Thompson Excels At Penn Relays

The Coastal Carolina women’s 4×400 team shattered the school record and won the gold medal in the College Final of the Penn Relays on Saturday.

With the CCU men’s and women’s track & field teams in action at both the Penn Relays and the Highlander Invitational, the women’s 4×400 team stole the spotlight.

Freshman Jessica Gelibert, sophomore Qwontajah Thompson, freshman Teka Simpson and senior Erica Peake broke the CCU school record by 4.01 seconds with a first-place finishing time of 3:34.23, breaking the previous record held by Gelibert, Thompson, Peake and sophomore Camille Hurley set at the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala.

The 4×400 team finished ahead of SEC members Mississippi State, South Carolina and Kentucky.

Freshman Jalacy Green led the way at the Highlander Invitational with a season-best distance of 12.29 meters in the women’s shot put while finishing sixth.

Junior Ronnie Jackson, sophomore Joseph Wilson, freshman Corey Hackett-Greene and sophomore Eric Brown teamed up for the 4×100 College Final at the Penn Relays and came away with a fifth-place finish with a time of 40.77. The Chants finished ahead of Kentucky.

Sophomore DeAndra Lipscomb, Hackett-Greene, freshman Matthew Lights and freshman Deion Wellington placed fifth in the 4×400 College Final with a time of 3:10.98 just ahead of North Carolina.

Freshman Jordan Roach and junior Cameron Griggs threw their way to a one, two finish in the men’s discus at the Highlander Invitational. Roach had a distance of 49.18 meters while Griggs best throw came in at 47.97 meters. Griggs also placed second in the men’s shot put with a toss of 15.67 meters.

Senior Naomi Atkins was the last CCU competitor at the Highlander Invitational as she placed fifth in the women’s hammer throw with a toss of 45.70 meters.

The men’s and women’s track and field teams will be back in action next weekend May 3-4 at the Bob Pollock Invitational hosted by Clemson.

Track and Field Day!

Track and Field Day is a non-competitive event open to all kids ages 6-12.  Come out and enjoy the atmosphere of a big-time track and field meet.  There's an event for everyone in the sport of track and field--running, jumping and throwing.  Come have fun and learn what the Myrtle Beach Track and Field Club is all about.  The Men's and Women's Coastal Carolina University Track & Field team will be on hand to help the kids get warmed up and instruct them in basic track and field skills.  Registration starts at 5:00, 5:30 Activities begin.  This is a FREE event!

New Level 1 Track and Field Coaches!

The MBTFC Club is proud and excited to announce that Coach Rich and Coach Ott passed the Level 1 Coaches exam by the USATF. Both Coaches went through an extensive three day educational course in preparation for the exam. This demonstrates the commitment and knowledge brought to the club by its coaches. Carolina Club Challenge

MBTFC is excited to announce this year's Carolina Club Challenge Track and Field meet.  The Myrtle Beach Track and Field Club has also partnered with Coach O for this affiliation and has therefore re-christened the event "Coach O Carolina Club Challenge."  This Youth meet will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in the heart of Myrtle Beach, about one half mile from the Atlantic Ocean.  Please see the attached informational brochure for more information.   If you would like to register your  child for this event, please register at Coach O by May 29th, 2012.
